Dedication
This
website is dedicated to Ms. Myrt Canaday who inspires us all to never forget how beautiful our horses are in parade attire.
Ms. Myrt herself won an unprecedented 165 championships aboard her Saddlebred, Royal Entertainer, in the famous gold Ted Flowers
set pictured at right. She has been a huge influence on myself, as the owner of this website, & although
I had always admired & wished for the beautiful parade tack as a child, Myrt made me realize I could still make my
childhood dreams come true even as an adult. I most sincerely thank Myrt for the education & history lessons about
parade tack & the detailed showing techniques.

Our History
As Showin' Style's owner, I have been in love with horses for my entire life. Having owned quite a
few different breeds, & having shown predominently American Saddlebreds, I became intrigued with silver
parade saddles as a child. I rode in my first parade in Savannah, GA on St. Patrick's Day when I was 16 years
old & I was hooked on parades from then on. My husband & I have done many hometown parades with our
horses & it fueled my passion for collecting antique parade saddles as well as learning how to make our
horses as flashy as they could be. Because there is no shortage of parade riders today, Showin' Style was founded
to assist paraders with dressing up your horses. Whether you ride in silver parade tack, or pleasure & show
tack, I hope this website can help you achieve the look you desire.

Doug Norton
My husband, Doug Norton,
has been my #1 supporter thru all my parading and exhibition efforts. He can ready a parade horse faster than anybody
in the state, and he and I both have learned a lot thru doing parades together over the years. He also plays a big role
in helping with selection of parade attire on our "Parading Your Horse" pages.
